In a highly speculative article in todays News of the World, it seems that Eto’o would take a pay cut to move to Man Utd rather than their local rivals man City. Javier Mascherano’s wages were far below the level given to other Liverpool stars, which is causing his unrest at the club, so it seems that the Anfield club have decided to offer him £90,000 a week to persuade him to stay. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been linked with moves for the former Boca Juniors man, however Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is now ready to enter the race. Tevez, 24, is currently on a two-year loan deal at United which is set to expire at the end of this season. I personally would be surprised to see Tevez still at Old Trafford next season. There is no doubting his ability, however I don’t think Sir Alex Ferguson is too keen to spend such a large amount on a player who sits on the bench most weekends. Tevez himself admitted he would be interested in a move to Real Madrid so I think Barca will find it difficult to bring him to the Camp Nou.
